How Quantix is redefining supply chain solutions across the chemical sector
Understanding that the supply chain is a critical aspect of any business, Quantix Supply Chain Solutions (Quantix) is a leading provider of end-to-end logistics services purpose-built for the chemical industry. With more than 80 locations across the US, Quantix boasts a nationwide network and a comprehensive suite of services, delivering the highest level of safety, quality, compliance, and integrity across its entire operation.
Formerly known as A&R Logistics, the company’s roots trace back decades, and through a series of legacy companies, it has a strong heritage in transportation, warehousing, and material handling. In 2021, the business created a unified brand and identity with its capabilities under the Quantix brand, representing its evolution into a fully integrated provider. Because of this change, Quantix extends its commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and innovative solutions to its customers across the chemical supply chain.

Nate Gesse, COO, sits down with us just eight months into his role to elaborate on the company’s operations. “Quantix offers a broad suite of services, including bulk transportation (dry and liquid), warehousing and storage, packaging, rail transloading, TMS and analytical capabilities, and export and import logistics,” Nate opens. “We operate six business units: dry bulk; liquid and ISO; distribution centers; export, import, and drayage; environmental; and managed solutions, where we offer tailored global logistics management and specialized chemical handling services.
“Our warehousing and storage network spans key industrial and port regions across the United States, including the Gulf Coast, Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast. These facilities allow us to support both domestic and international logistics flows, with strategic access to major rail lines, highways, and ports. This footprint supports scalable distribution, transloading, and inventory management for our chemical customers, enabling them to serve North American and global markets effectively.”
Quantix’s technology enables a more responsive and resilient supply chain, which is critical for the chemical sector. “The backbone of our technology is centered on supply chain visibility, automation, and optimization,” Nate states. “This includes integrated TMS platforms, GPS-enabled fleet tracking, digital inventory systems, and data analytics tools that empower smarter, faster decision-making for our customers. Our technologies offer significant advantages, from real-time visibility and enhanced safety to operational efficiency gains and predictive performance insights. By providing full transparency of the movement and condition of goods, our customers benefit from the assurance of data through secure systems, and they can optimize routes to reduce delays or emissions.
“When it comes to our fleet, we focus on proactive maintenance, route optimization, and driver safety and performance. Our investment in telematics and ELD technology allows us to monitor real-time metrics such as fuel efficiency, idle time, and driver behavior. We’re continuously refreshing our fleet with modern, fuel-efficient equipment, and we invest in training and retention programs to ensure our drivers are equipped to perform at the highest levels. Efficiency and safety go hand-in-hand, and both are non-negotiable.”
Quantix is also committed to being a sustainable leader in the chemical value chain, as Nate explains. “We want to be the best possible stewards for the environment,” he states. “We’ve partnered with Operation Clean Sweep, an international initiative focused on reducing plastic pellet loss from the plastics industry into the environment. From a fleet perspective, we’re currently analyzing fuel efficiency and mileage to optimize our travel, but we’re also exploring the next generation of trucks, as well as battery powered equipment, and we aim to implement these cleaner technologies as they become more widely available.”
Having recently acquired CLX Logistics, now known as Quantix Managed Solutions, we’re keen to explore how the business will be integrated into Quantix’s operations. “This acquisition is a major milestone that expands our capabilities in managed transportation, global logistics, and cutting-edge supply chain technology,” Nate says. “Quantix Managed Solutions’ TMS and consulting services, combined with their deep expertise in the chemical industry, complement our operational strengths. This integration enables us to offer a truly comprehensive, tech-enabled logistics platform spanning execution, planning, and strategy, as well as enhancing our global reach and supporting smarter, data-driven logistics solutions.”
On the topic of investment, Nate continues: “We’re currently expanding our infrastructure in several key regions, including a new transload facility and enhanced warehousing capacity in the Gulf region. We’re also rolling out next-generation fleet management systems and piloting automation tools in our distribution centers. Additionally, we’re deepening our ESG commitments, investing in lower-emission vehicles, and strengthening our safety and compliance frameworks to lead the industry in responsible logistics.”
With 2026 fast approaching, we ask Nate about what’s next for Quantix. “We see strong momentum across all business units for the remainder of 2025,” he shares. “Our focus is on expanding our digital capabilities and further optimizing our network to meet growing customer demands. In early 2026, we anticipate launching additional service offerings that blend digital and physical assets, creating more value and flexibility for our partners, and we’re also positioning ourselves for targeted international growth.
“We want to organically grow our presence and capabilities in existing markets, particularly in domestic liquid transportation and by installing more fill, form, and seal (FF&S) lines, but we’re also open to further acquisitions. We’ll also look at strategic locations for our warehousing and import and export operations as we target additional regions.
“I’d like to see Quantix as the undisputed leader in chemical supply chain solutions, recognized not just for operational excellence, but also for innovation, sustainability, and customer-centricity,” Nate adds. “We envision a global platform that seamlessly connects chemical producers with their customers through data, infrastructure, and expertise. Our longer-term strategy includes expanding our international footprint, advancing our digital offerings, and being a top employer and trusted partner in every market we serve.”
Offering his final closing thought, Nate concludes: “The chemical supply chain is evolving rapidly, and we’re committed to being at the forefront of that evolution. Whether it’s through smart technology, strategic acquisitions, or our exceptional team, Quantix is building a more efficient, safer, and more connected logistics future.”
